Storycraft Weekend Art & Craft Classes
Start your weekend with a splash of colour at our Saturday morning Storycraft sessions! Most of our weekend sessions are for children aged around 2-10 years old, however we sometimes also have sessions for older kids. The classes begin with the story, then we make the art and craft project and if there is time the classes often finish with a few songs/action rhymes. Classes are 50-60 minutes (unless otherwise stated). Children under 4 years must attend with a parent/carer. Children over 4 years who can work fairly independently are welcome to attend as a drop-off. (Please note: Classes require a minimum number to run.)

5th April - Birthday Cake Giftbox 10.30
We will enjoy the funny story `Cake` by Sue Hendra. We will be inspired to make a beautiful Cake Gift Box with all the trimmings. This will mainly be a painting session and then we will decorate our cakes with `icing` and some fun fruit!

12th April - Doughnut Photoframes 10.30
We will discover the `Doughnut of Doom` by Elys Dolan. We will make a super fun picture frame decorated with colourful clay doughnuts. This session will involve painting and playing with coloured foam clay. Not to forget decorating with all those coloured sprinkles!

19th April - Easter Special - Easter Bunny Gardens 9.30 and 10.45
We`ll read the lovely book `Guess how much I love you in Spring` and make some adorable Easter Bunny Gardens with real and artificial flowers. We`ll paint and decorate with all sorts of fun embellishments, such as clay carrots, different kinds of flowers and of course not forgetting plenty of eggs. This will be a lovely decoration to brighten up your home this Easter.

19th April - Easter Special - Easter Bunny Canvas 13.30 - 16.00 7 - 13 years
Join us for this fun canvas painting session. Our teacher will guide you to create a cute Bunny canvas using acrylic paints. This will be a lovely Easter decoration for your home or a great Spring gift for a loved one.

10th May - Flower Pots 10.30
Join us to welcome summer with a flower themed Storycraft Session. We will read the colourful book `Planting a Rainbow` and we will be inspired to make some beautiful coloured flowers of our own. We will paint our flower pots and we will craft our flowers from patterned cards and colourful straws. We will decorate with plenty of gems, sequins and glitter.

17th May - Unicorn or Dino Mask 10.30
We will enjoy the super fun book `Sugarlump and the Unicorn` by Julia Donaldson and be inspired to be some lovely Unicorn masks. There will also be the option to create a dino mask if preferred. This is a painting and decorating session with plenty of gems and glitter.

24th May - Magic/Fairy Gardens 10.30
We will enjoy the lovely book `The Fairiest Fairy` by Anne Booth and be inspired to be some beautiful Magic Gardens. This might be have a house for a fairy or maybe a gnome or an elf. This is a painting and decorating session with plenty of fun embellishments such as flowers, gems and glitter.

31st May - Cat Notepads 10.30
We will enjoy the great book `Tabby McTat` by Julia Donaldson and make some cut cat notepads. Maybe you want to have a black cat, a ginger or a stripey cat? The choice is yours. This is a painting and decorating session with plenty of fun embellishments such as fluff, googley eyes, gems and glitter.

7th June - Mini Beaches 10.30
Join us as we start getting ready for that summer sun with our fun mini beach project. We will enjoy the classic picture book `Lucy and Tom at the Seaside` by Shirley Hughes. Maybe you want to have a black cat, a ginger or a stripey cat? This is a painting and modelling clay session. We`ll get decorating with plenty of fun embellishments too, pom-pom coconuts, sand and even some mini beach chairs.

14th June - Cactus Pot 10.30
Join us as we celebrate summer sun with our cutie cactus project. We will enjoy the sweet picture book `Hug Me` by Simona Ciraolo. We will enjoy painting patterned pots and our cactus, as well as decorating with fun embellishments such as spikes, flowers and googley eyes.

21st & 22nd June all day - Thalwil Kultur Tag Workshops - Cinderella Clocks
Join us for Thalwil Kultur Tag festival family workshops over the weekend of 21st and 22nd June. Workshops will be offered in different languages. Workshops are free with a suggested donation of 10chf per child to cover materials. We will be thinking about the importance of the `ticking clock` in Fairytales and enjoy making some super Cinderella Clocks. More info to come soon ...
28th June - Little Swimmers Canvas 10.30
Join us as we celebrate summer swimming with our Little Swimmers Canvas session. We`ll read the fab, fun book `You can swim Jim!` by Kaye Umansky and we`ll be inspired to make some under the water artwork. We will enjoy painting with patterned rollers and textured sponges and adding our little Swimmers and under the water details. We`ll decorate with fun embellishments such as foam pieces, patterned papers, gems, straws, shells and googley eyes.
